ADP opens first call center in Philippines
The Philippines remains an attractive location for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies.
This was what Michael Capone, chief information officer for Automatic Data Processing (ADP Philippines) Inc., a Manila-based Solution Center, told Inquirer.net in an interview on December 3 at the launch of their first operations site in Makati City.
Capone said that the company focuses on new innovations, from mobile applications of HR solutions (iPhone, iPad) and other latest contact center technologies. “(We want to) take the work out of work,” enabling clients to access their HR information anywhere via mobile applications, he added.
ADP’s decision to set up shop in the Philippines stemmed from plans they made “over a year ago,” Capone said, when they saw the potential of growth in the country. Since ADP agents started taking in live calls, Capone stated that they “haven’t been disappointed” with the local talent they hired.
“What we really like is the quality of people… there’s a high degree of customer service focus,” he added.
The company, since starting its local operations site, has made “remarkable strides,” operating using “state-of-the-art facility, which will serve as our local center of excellence and ultimately support multiple segments of our global business,” Craig Spendiff, ADP vice president for Shoring said.
With around 115 employees in its first week of operations as a provider of Human Resources solutions, ADP seeks to expand its manpower resources to 300 persons.
“We have been very impressed with the quality of the talent here and look forward to expanding our operations in the country,” stated Spendiff.
According to ADP, each of the two floors they own in the RCBC Tower 2 can accommodate up to 400 employees.
Founded over 60 years ago, ADP has “grown to become one of the world’s leading providers of business outsourcing solutions for organizations of all sizes around the globe,” Spendiff said.
ADP serves around 550,000 clients in more than 125 countries worldwide, including 90% of the companies in the Fortune 100 list.
