ABOUT

DevCo Philippines Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Wallem Group, one of the world’s leading diversified shipping companies (www.wallem.com). The Wallem Group’s Information Services Department (ISD) is one of the maritime industry’s leading technology groups.

In 1999, the Executive Board of Wallem took the decision to relocate ISD’s development effort to a locale that was more cost effective and more scalable in terms of development throughput. DevCo was incorporated in the Philippines in October 2000 and is based in Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), situated two hours north of Manila. DevCo’s strategic positioning in the Philippines, particularly at CSEZ, is due to its proximity to four of the Philippines’ major universities, vast pool of skilled technology professionals, and the English language proficiency of Filipinos.
